Reading and the Power of Touch

As a child I loved reading and hence journalism as a career choice came quite naturally even though I studied math and biology in college. After a decade writing about various industries for magazines and newspapers, I now have the time to reflect deeper about a fundamental question that has been at the back of my mind throughout these years. With the global winds of change blowing in the direction of digital, why does the printed word continue to command value in India? With many such fundamentals being challenged in a post-pandemic world, there are some easy obvious answers and some lesser-obvious truths hiding in plain view. Here’s my two pence -
